Film and dinner
True story about chef Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch from the Périgord who is allowed to cook for President Mitterand and cooked in the Antarctic. The cuisine is therefore typical for that region: with lots of truffle and goose. There is a French cookbook written by her. Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch is also one of the inventors of rural tourism and she was one of the first to open a table d'hôtes.
The film tells about her difficult period when she cooked for the president. Her cuisine appeals to the president, but she conflicts with the mainstream government cuisine. In the end, she chooses for herself and decides to cool off by cooking at the South Pole.
The film is French spoken and subtitled in Dutch. Special note for non Dutch (or French) speaking people: English subtitles can be added on request. Buy your ticket and add a note 'English please', and we will add English subtitles to the Dutch ones.
