In The fish fall in love (Ali Rafie, Iran 2006), Aziz, a middle-aged man, returns to his hometown after 22 years. Here he wants to sell his property and his family home before he leaves for good. Contrary to his expectations, the house is fully occupied and houses a restaurant called Attieh. And now let that be the same name as that of the girl he grew up with and was engaged to before his disappearance.
Tooka, Attieh's daughter, does not intend to give up the house, the restaurant and the associated women's community. She decides to take matters into her own hands. Inspired by Scheherazade, Tooka Aziz serves the most delicious dishes again and again, hoping for an endless postponement of the sale.

A wonderfully catchy film with four strong women in traditional Iran. Of course with Persian food, the 'fish that falls in love', everything prepared with love.
